As part of my recent website refresh that I worked on in late 2024, I added in some more detail to my podcast archives. Since I started podcasting around 2016, I’ve produced a number of different shows on a range of topics. These shows all now have episode guides (hooray!) that can help you to find topics that might be of interest. (I also categorized all of these episodes for easy search as well.)
Here’s a rundown of all my podcasts and the kinds of topics that are covered on each:
You’ve Got This (400+ episodes and counting): My longest running show, You’ve Got This, has weekly episodes that release each Wednesday and that are focused on thriving in jobs that are within the higher education industry. I often share my process and strategies for productivity, goal-setting, creativity, and other topics that are related to my work and career in higher education.
The Anatomy of a Book (67 episodes): I started this podcast to chronicle the writing of my third book. Beginning with an episode on “how this book came to be” and closing out when the writing of the book completed, this show is a personal diary of the highs and lows of the process of writing an academic book.
Think Write Revise (48 episodes): Following the completion of writing my third book, I transitioned The Anatomy of a Book podcast into a show that focused more generally on academic writing and scholarship. Topics included things like writing with a tired brain, ideas for writing inspiration, and how to mentor other writers.
Life/Work Q&A (143 episodes): When I first started podcasting, I got a lot of different questions from listeners. This show answers one question each episode based on my own experience with the topic. Some of the episodes include how to form an LLC, conference networking, finding good books to read, etc.
Make Your Way (62 episodes): This is a show that I recorded for several seasons with my co-host, Dr. Sara Langworthy. On this show, we discuss topics related to having a small business and being an entrepreneur. For example, you’ll find episodes on marketing, creating new products, balancing owning a business with other parts of our lives, etc. (I also use this show as part of the content in my Slow Hustle Mastermind program.)
Coach to Coach (49 episodes): I started this podcast because I wanted one like it! This show includes episodes where I coach another coach and they coach me back in alternating episodes, with a different coach featured each season. The final season of the show also includes coaches from my coach training program sharing their stories of becoming coaches and how they use coaching in their lives. (I also use this show as part of the content in my coach training program.)
Research in Action (185 episodes): When I worked at Oregon State University, I produced a weekly interview-based podcast on all things research. Each episode highlighted the work of a researcher and their disciplinary background and process. This was an incredibly fun project and the episodes are still hosted on the Ecampus website.
That’s a lot of episodes over 8 years of podcasting!
All of these episodes are available on my website using the links above. You can also find these shows on Apple Podcasts by searching my name. (The Anatomy of a Book, Think Write Revise, and Life/Work Q&A are all on the You’ve Got This channel whereas Research in Action, Make Your Way, and Coach to Coach have their own channels.)
Happy listening!
