My April To-Do List

by | Apr 6, 2024

A few years back, I began writing monthly to-do lists to help me keep track of what’s on my plate. I share these lists here, and report back each month on what I was able to accomplish.

My March list focused on some fun tasks to transition into the spring season. Here’s what I was able to get done in the last month:

  • Took a week off of work. I try to take spring break off of work and I was also able to do that this year. You can check out more about what I did in this blog post, but highlights included trying indoor climbing and working on some writing projects.
  • Wrapped up two coach training courses. Two of the courses in my coach training program ended in March. These were such fun groups of coaches in training to work with over the last several months and I loved supporting them.
  • Bought new running shoes. My old running shoes needed to be replaced and with the warmer weather on the horizon, I think I might want to do some more jogging this spring. I was able to do a little research and find a good pair online.
  • Read The Folk of the Air trilogy. I decided to take on a “box set challenge” as one of my annual goals and this was the box set that I assigned myself for March. I loved reading about faeries as part of my transition into the spring season.

The last month felt like it was really packed. Now it’s time to plan for a new month of to-do items! I’m ready to launch into April and see what the next month of the year will bring.

Here are some of the items on my April to-do list:

  • Finish a couple big projects at work. I have a deadline for a work report this month and the draft is in its final stages. There’s also a separate year-long project that’s wrapping up with a campus presentation this month. I’m really looking forward to completing these and getting them off my plate.
  • Take a work trip to Arizona. As part of some new job responsibilities, I needed to add some additional work travel to my schedule. The first trip is coming up later this month, so I’ll be taking a quick 2-day trip to Arizona for a convening where I’m representing my institution.
  • Watch the Eras Tour and listen to the new Taylor Swift album. I haven’t watched the Eras Tour yet, but now that it’s available to stream I want to get to that. Taylor Swift also has a new album releasing this month, so I’m excited to check that out as well.
  • Sit outside in the sunshine. Although we are still getting some colder weather, I think it’s safe to say that there will be some sunny days in April that will allow me to get some natural Vitamin D. Who knows, maybe I’ll even be able to set up my hammock again…

I’m really looking forward to what I’m going to accomplish this upcoming month! What are you looking forward to in the month of April?
