A few years back, I began writing monthly to-do lists to help me keep track of what’s on my plate. I share these lists here, and report back each month on what I was able to accomplish.
My February list focused on a variety of fun and work tasks. Here’s what I was able to get done in the last month:
- Read a bunch of romance novels. With Valentine’s Day happening this past month, I decided to tackle the Thunder Point series by Robyn Carr. That meant that I had 9 romance novels on my TBR list! I actually really liked reading these in close succession since there are a lot of interconnected characters in the series. (You can always see what I’m reading on Goodreads and follow along with my monthly TBR lists and debriefs on my YouTube channel.)
- Completed a jigsaw puzzle. This was one of the items on my winter bucket list and so I wanted to squeeze it into February. I love completing puzzles digitally, and so I did several on an app that I use on my iPad. Less clutter on my dining room table and still so fun and satisfying.
- Drafted a report for work. I’m co-leading a working group this academic year and we’re now at the stage where we need to draft our report and recommendations. With the help of some colleagues, I was able to make significant progress on getting this draft started in February.
- Went for the gold with my workouts. I mentioned in this recent blog post that I tried to achieve a gold badge in all the monthly Peloton challenges for the month of January (and I did it!). I’m thrilled that I was able to do this in February as well – creating monthly exercise plans is really working for my schedule right now.
The last month went by very quickly for me. Now it’s time to plan for a new month of to-do items! I’m ready to launch into March and see what the next month of the year will bring.
Here are some of the items on my March to-do list:
- Take a week off of work. I try to take spring break off each year and I’m also planning to do that this year. I have some preliminary plans to use that time away from work for some writing and I’m really looking forward to it.
- Wrap up two coach training courses. Two of the courses in my coach training program end in March. I like noting transitions, which includes things that are beginning and things that are ending, so that I can find ways to celebrate progress.
- Buy new running shoes. My old running shoes need to be replaced and with the warmer weather on the horizon, I’d like to get this task checked off my list.
- Read The Folk of the Air trilogy. I decided to take on a “box set challenge” as one of my annual goals and this is the box set that I assigned myself for March. I can’t think of a better transition into the spring than reading about faeries.
I’m really looking forward to this upcoming month! What are you looking forward to in the month of March?
