Several years back, I began to write monthly to-do lists to help me keep track of what’s on my plate on a different time scale than days or weeks. I share these lists here, and report back each month on what I was able to accomplish.
My April list focused on some important endings and beginnings! Here’s what I was able to get done in the last month:
- Began a yoga therapy training program. I decided to deepen my yoga practice with some more training around how yoga can be used therapeutically to treat a number of issues. I shared more about this program on the podcast and I’m really looking forward to diving into the course materials over the coming months.
- Celebrated my partner’s birthday. My partner had a birthday in April and I always love celebrating him. We had a sushi dinner, which has become a bit of a tradition for his special day.
- Launched 3 coach training courses and wrapped up PM by Design sessions. Spring was a busy time for the coach training courses that I teach. I had a few courses that launched in April and I also closed out the first offering of PM by Design, which was so fun to facilitate!
- Completed final edited collection tasks. Our manuscript deadline was May 1, so my co-editors and I worked on a final comb through of the book to get it ready to be sent off to the publisher. This has been such a great project to collaborate on in the first part of 2025.
April was a packed month with lots going on and now it’s time to plan for a new month of to-do items! I’m ready to launch into May and see what this next month of the year will bring.
Here are some of the items on my May to-do list:
- Launch the PM by Design for Leaders course. This is the third course in the project management training series that I’m offering this year and I can’t wait to work with these higher education leaders on their PM skills!
- Take some vacation time. It’s been a long academic term with a lot happening and it’s been challenging for me to step away from work. In May, I’ve blocked a few vacation days and I’m looking forward to using that time to rest and recharge.
- Get ahead on content production. In this busy season, I’ve been doing a lot of just-in-time content creation for my podcast, blogs, and YouTube channels. I prefer to bulk prep content ahead of time so that I have more space in my weeks, so I’m going to try and get ahead of schedule in May.
- Finish a yoga anatomy online course. As part of my yoga therapy training, I decided to brush up on anatomy with a separate course. I’ve been chipping away at it for several weeks and hope to get it wrapped up in May.
It’s going to be a busy month! What are you looking forward to in the month of May.
