Spring Book Releases I Can’t Wait to Read

One of the things that I enjoy tracking is upcoming book releases that I’m excited about. Knowing when books are coming out means that I can put holds on books at my library so that they don’t fall off my radar.

Here are some of the recently released or upcoming books that I’m most excited about (and their release dates):

  1. Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy (March 4) – a mystery/thriller set on an island near Antarctica.
  2. Story of My Life by Lucy Score (March 11) – a small-town romance about a woman who impulse buys a house in rural Pennsylvania sight unseen.
  3. Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green (March 18) – a nonfiction account of the history and current state of this disease told through the story of a young tuberculosis patient at Lakka Government Hospital in Sierra Leone.
  4. Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins (March 18) – a prequel novel to the Hunger Games that tells the story of Haymitch and when he is called as tribute.
  5. Tilt by Emma Pattee (March 25) – a nine-month pregnant woman is trying to survive a massive earthquake that hits Portland, Oregon.
  6. Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez (April 1) – the latest romance by one of my must-read authors.
  7. The Next Day by Melinda French Gates (April 15) – a new book on transitions and change.
  8. Time Anxiety by Chris Guillebeau (April 15) – a combination of research on time perception, executive function, and the psychology of how we engage with time.
  9. Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry (April 22) – a contemporary romance about two authors competing to tell the story of an aging heiress.
  10. Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry (May 6) – a first foray into adult fantasy writing from a favorite author who’s known for writing romance suspense.
  11. The River is Waiting by Wally Lamb (May 6) – a contemporary novel about a man’s journey of being sent to prison.
  12. The Thrashers by Julie Soto (May 6) – a YA thriller/mystery set in an elite high school.
  13. The Ones We Love by Anna Snoekstra (May 6) – a mystery/thriller about a girl who has been padlocked in her bedroom by her parents and doesn’t know why.
  14. The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig (May 20) – a book some consider to be the next big romantasy phenomenon.
  15. The Love Haters by Katherine Center (May 20) – a contemporary romance between a video producer and a a Coast Guard rescue swimmer.
  16. Wandering Wild by Lynette Noni (May 20) – A YA romance about two people who are stranded in the wilderness together.
