Now that we’re almost to September (I can’t wait for the -ber months!), it’s time to debrief my summer bucket list and see what I was able to accomplish.

As a reminder, here are some of the things I was hoping to do (and what I was able to check off my list):

  1. Dug into some young adult book series. For my annual box set challenge this year, I assigned myself three young adult series over the summer months: The Summer I Turned Pretty (romance), The Naturals Collection (mystery), and The Life as We Knew It Collection (dystopian). These were such fun series to dig into over the summer months and The Naturals Collection was my favorite of the three.
  2. Took an extended vacation. My goal was to take two consecutive weeks off this summer, similar to what I did last year and I was able to do this at the end of June into early July. I loved having this time to dive into some creative work around a new project management training series I’m launching in 2025.
  3. Worked on a new coach training class. I mentioned previously that I’ve been researching neurodiversity as a side project for my coach training program and I wanted to start putting together a new course. This involved creating a syllabus and also writing some new content for my coach training manual. I was able to complete this during my summer vacation and I’m thrilled with how it turned out.
  4. Completed 6k minutes in my Peloton app. This is a repeat challenge from last year since I enjoyed pushing myself to get in some extra movement over the summer months. This goal also helped to keep me on track with hitting 20k Peloton minutes by the end of the year (one of my annual goals).
  5. Visited with family. I had some family come to Denver over the summer months that I hadn’t seen in a while. They were able to find a rental just down the street from my house, and it was fun to have them in town for a few days. We visited the local nature and science museum and did some jigsaw puzzling – a very fun time was had by all.
  6. Completed my Restful July tradition. Each year, I take July off of content creation so that I can revisit my goals for the blog, the podcast, and YouTube. I completed this tradition again this summer and I walked away with some new ideas for what I want to do with my content in 2025 that I’m really excited about.

What is one of your favorite memories from this most recent season?
